First Post - About money
Dear Sophie,
This is your first letter, but there'll be many more. Remember, Mummy and I always love you (Muffin does too, especially when you share your ice cream with her).
As you grow, you'll need to learn about money. You need money to buy yummy treats like ice cream. But remember, some ice cream costs a lot more than others.
For everyday ice cream, we love the good-quality, affordable kind. Your mom and I like Much Moore Vanilla ice cream, perfect for regular and uneventful treats after dinner.
But sometimes, a fancy ice cream like Giapo might be fun and worth paying more because it is a rare and special occasion, like your graduation day. *No pressure 😃
“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”
- Warren Buffett (a guy with lots of money)
So, think twice about the value before paying the price.
If you think something is worth more than the price they're asking, and you have the money to spare, then go for it.
On the other hand, if you're not convinced it's worth the price, don't be afraid to walk away or see if you can negotiate a better deal.
Money can also be borrowed, but it costs extra in the long run.
You can even use money to invest in stocks, like the company that makes the ice cream, which can give you more money back in return.
This space is filled with my thoughts for you. I hope you find them useful!
Love always,
Mummy & Daddy
